Spring MVC 404 On Controller

- 1 answer

I am trying to run a Hello World program using Eclipse, Maven and Tomcat. I used Maven webapp archetype for structure.

When I run from Eclipse, I am able to view the index.jsp Hello which is created by default. But, localhost:8080/HelloWeb/hello path is giving 404 not found exception.

Here is my project structure. Project Structure

Answer

The mistake I was doing while creating the program was using Tomcat 8.5 with JRE and JDK 9. When I switched to Tomcat 9, everything started working fine for me.
